Before this foundation I had never heard of Victoria Jackson cosmetics! How I heard about Victoria Jackson is through Ipsy which is an subsciption service for beauty products, mainly consisting of makeup. Through the Ipsy website if your a subscriber you get certain promotions on products, well there was a promotion for this foundation and the foundation was free but I had to pay 5.95 for the shipping. I thought awesome, and it cost 29.95 on the website so I was happy to only pay 5.95 for a nearly 30 dollar foundation to give it a shot and see how well it works.
So onto the review, this is the packaging, I like the packaging it is nice and underneath this foundation it came with a makeup sponge to use, which I was pleased with.
So You can see why this is called a "duo" this is in the shade medium. You can use each side alone or you can mix them together. So the lighter shade on the left is actually a really good concealer color for me. I definitely cannot wear the dark side by its self because its just way too dark for me. I have mixed them together so it can be a more fitted look for my skin.
So what do I think overall?
I find that you have to really blend this foundation in, I have to really rub this foundation down my neck to make sure the color is going to match me. If you have dry patches on your skin, it would be best to definitely try to moisturize it before putting this on because I had a dry patch on my nose and it caked up really bad around that area. I don't find this foundation to be too heavy on my skin, I wore it all day today with a primer and my skin is not oily from it. I don't think this foundation has the greatest coverage. If you have great skin then this would probaly not affect you. But I don't have the greatest skin and it just did not feel like it provided alot of coverage. I feel like "TO ME" that this is a light coverage foundation. I feel like the best method to apply this foundation is to be with a sponge, I tried a brush but it did not work that well.
Would I repurchase for full price?
No I would not, its definitely not worth 30 dollars to me, there are lots of other great foundations that are not drug store that run around this price and there is also lots of drug store foundations that work better than this. Its not terrible, its just a so so foundation to me.
Well I hope you enjoyed my review, if you have got this foundation and tried it out please leave your opinions about it because i'm interested in knowing!
